Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior FF&E Designer to join a respected London-based interiors consultancy working on prestigious international hospitality and high-end residential projects. The ideal candidate will have at least eight years of relevant experience within hospitality, restaurants, or luxury residential design, with a proven ability to lead small to medium projects or contribute effectively to larger, complex schemes within multidisciplinary teams.
The role requires strong design sensibility, refined aesthetic judgment, and advanced technical knowledge of FF&E. You should be confident managing projects through all stages, from concept development through to on-site installation, while working closely with procurement consultants to oversee sourcing, specification, and delivery across the full project lifecycle.
You will contribute to creative direction by developing design concepts, sourcing and specifying FF&E for hotels, restaurants, and luxury residences, and helping to define overall design narratives, material palettes, and project vision. Responsibilities also include producing presentation materials such as mood boards, schemes, and sample boards covering finishes, fabrics, furniture, and accessories.
The role involves preparing detailed FF&E specifications and documentation, designing bespoke furniture, and producing technical drawings where required. You will support budget development, value engineering, and quantity assessments, as well as oversee samples, review shop drawings, and monitor manufacturing to ensure accurate coordination of all FF&E deliverables within the wider design package.
You will maintain regular communication with clients, consultants, suppliers, and contractors, attend site meetings and presentations, and may occasionally travel internationally for project support. Staying up to date with industry trends and mentoring junior team members will also form part of the role.
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Photoshop, InDesign, Spec Sources, and Spec Designer is essential, along with excellent communication, organisation, and time management skills. A proactive and inquisitive approach is highly valued.
If this opportunity sounds suitable, please apply with your CV and portfolio. Following probation, the role offers two days working from home per week.
